Got my mouse, earbuds, and epilator today. I already tried the epilator; it hurts quite a bit, but you know what they say: beauty is pain. The mouse is really nice feeling all around, and the lights are super pretty. The sound of the earbuds is great as far as i'm concerned. Eating sweet chili takis and watching OWCS, planning on learning to use and manipulate linux cfg files soon :3
websurfing isn't my cup of tea. my explantation to myself is that it feels a lot like browsing social media, the difference being that it's not trying to harvest my data and minmax ad revenue. It's like browsing through mainstream social media is walking through a concrete city and surfing the personal web is walking through a small town. My issue is that I (in the scope of this metaphor) don't really like to walk. I'm not abandoning this site tho. Making it was a blast, and i can treat is as a little playground for whatever I want to do, and a place to talk about whatever I want :3
Got money from my grandparents, but not my father yet. They gave me $225, which is half of the amount i was hoping for from them and my dad combined, so that's got me very hopeful! I put $145 of it to pay off the remainder of my debt on a shared card, and used the remaining 80 to get the mouse i was planning on getting, an epilator, and a $10 pair of skullcandy earbuds to use for my chr*mebook and then my thinkpad when I get it. It's also handy because the money i get from my dad will be a hard budget for the keyboard and mousepad, so I won't have to think as hard about the budget then.
